Ipoh

The first trip of 2010 of this Wong Family is to Ipoh. We all headed to ipoh separately. I went there on 2nd Jan while the brothers went there on 31st, parents on 1st. hehe (: So, i went there with big bro and dai sou. Then, we checked in to the hotel and meet up parents. We went to eat the famous chicken. and the famous ngaa choii. oh, and pork balls. Yummy! And eating this bring me back a lotsa of childhood memory! This traditional ice cream. I had the durian one :p By the time we finished eating, it's already evening and after we prepared ourselves, we headed to the restaurant for dinner. It's Ryan's only best friend - Voon Hao's wedding dinner. Yes, we whole family attended that dinner! The foods were nice compared to KL. and it's rather different. and one thing i must say is that, it's worth the price of what we're paying. Honestly. Shark fin soup. I must say this is a fierce fish! Big head prawn! :D The pork. it's a complete baby pork. Very large portion and 10 of us only able to finish quarter of it! Eat with man tou. Ernest. PLEASE just spot his tummy. FAT! See his tummy = uncle. This is our dessert. Oh ya, forgot to take photo of the rice. omg, it's so yummy! Even though i was real full, i still eat a bit of it. cause it's really really really very nice! This is the next morning, which we all woke up @ bloody 630am. Took a picture :p Yes, before the sunrise. We were already at some coffee shop. My bro say that whole street also selling white coffee. but this shop's white coffee is nicer. So do try someday ;) I feel that am a local there also! :D The customers there at that hour is all who stayed there. Theres only senior citizens or family with children. The white coffee. Char Siew sou. Egg Tart. YUM! it's fresh from oven! The another famous food there. fresh milk egg with caramel on top. Chee Cheong Fun. It's rather different from KL ones. The don't like sauce. This is the original taste of Chee Cheong Fun. Yum also (: OMG, this is very yummy! Char Kuey Teow. Serious! Although it looks oily, but it's really yummy. some more got a few big prawns! I forgot what the price is, but as if it's same price as in KL, i think that eating @ Ipoh is much more value! I AM SERIOUS! The Char Kuey Teow is from this shop, just across the street. Ryan and Ernest headed back to KL after the breakfast. While me and parents backed to hotel. I took a short nap, then go out again to have the famous dim sum! :D
.
I saw this grand looking dim sum shop. There are people say this dim sum shop it's like the starhill @ KL. Cannot deny, it's really grand! I never seen sucha big dim sum shop before! We didn't dine in this grand looking dim sum shop though. We went to the dim sum shop bro's friend recommended instead. Just a few shops next to this grand looking dim sum shop (: Nice dim sum provided! I don't know what is this though :p Char Siew Pao. Yu mai (Fish). Ha mai (Prawn). I sweat to God, inside this ha mai, there are like 5 prawns inside it! Which really makes it a ha mai! All prawns! VERY WORTH EATING and it's so fresh! Ha gao. Chee Cheong Fun. it's not so nice compared to other dim sum. but still, not bad! Then, with the help of GPS, we finally got to the place where to buy the famous salted chicken. Here it is! Dai sou bought 3boxes of it and we bought only 1box for it to try (: Then, we decided to leave ipoh! :D But before that, we're searching for the place bro's friend recommend for the famous chee cheong fun. but we gave up in the end as we found another place for another food. Curry Mee! yummy (: The curry tasted diff from the curry in KL. This is the wan tou long. well, to me it tastes the same as KL's ai yu bing. Okay, now we memang leaving Ipoh. but dropped by to Bidor while we were on our way back to KL. Had our lunch @ this famous shop for the sakk kehh mah. The wu kok. Pai guatt mee. and the famous duck drumstick. Itik paha mee! With the herbs soup. very yummy! Ipoh trip is all about foods! Honestly, as if the food prices are same as KL, eating @ ipoh is much more value. You can definitely feel that the quality of foods @ ipoh is much much better than KL. Although i was at ipoh for less than 24hours, but i ate a lot compared to KL! I definitely feel that i've gained some weight :(
.
Oh gosh, who doesn't love good foods?
